Financing Substance Abuse Treatment

I just wanted to send a quick follow-up to see if you received or had the chance to review my e-mail sent on November 4th. If could let me know it would be greatly appreciated. Here is the original e-mail:

I found this page of your site: Home Drug Test and I noticed that you are linking out to Health Resources and other mental health resources. I know you have probably had many people approaching you and offering pieces of content to be placed on your website – some good and some bad. This is especially true for those offering substance abuse resources.

We have recently undertaken a campaign to promote resources that fill a particular unmet need on the web. In the case of substance abuse treatment, there are many directories, guides and government resources. However, there is one part of the treatment process that remains murky and unexplained to those seeking help.

This is the financial aspect of seeking treatment. Most individuals experience some confusion regarding insurance coverage, state-funded options, private-pay facilities and many other financial aspects that arise when seeking help. My goal is to help spread awareness and help people make informed, responsible decisions in their moment of crisis.

That is why I wanted to suggest that you include a link to this page among your other resources:

American Addiction Centers

The ‘Financial Guide’, ‘Informed Decisions’ and ‘Other Providers’ sections all explain in detail what nearly every other treatment resource avoids explaining. Rehab can be affordable, and there are many effective options other than rehab – therapy, outpatient, etc.

I hope that you will consider this addition to your site and that the quality, as well as the information filling important knowledge gaps, merits inclusion on your site. Thank you so much for your time. If you are not responsible for modifications of this page, I apologize for the miscommunication, and I would greatly appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.

Best regards,
